Michael J. Szot

Michael is a past Executive Board Member, and current Alumni member. In his alumni position, he hopes to build upon the success he has had in serving the needs of the autistic community.

During his years as a Board Member, Michael volunteered his time as a technology advisor to schools that serve the needs of individuals with autism. Through his efforts, he enabled these schools to create innovative technology solutions to facilitate the sharing of “Educational Best-Practices” with other similar schools.

Michael currently serves as a Board Member of the NJ SIM Foundation, which supports the needs of NJ-based charitable organizations in need of financial and/or technical assistance with information technology to support their mission. In addition, the Foundation supports individuals residing in and studying in New Jersey who need financial assistance to continue their educations, particularly but not necessarily, in the field of information technology.

Michael also serves as a technology advisor to the Somerset Hills Learning Institute – a private nonprofit school that offers a broad spectrum of services to children, adolescents, and adults with autism. Michael has also served as a technology advisor to Caldwell College’s Autism Center located in Caldwell, NJ.

Professionally, Michael is a Director in KPMG’s Life Sciences Advisory services practice, responsible for managing KPMG’s premier global account relationships within the Life Sciences industry. Companies within KPMG’s Global Account Program represent the firm’s most important clients for our Advisory and Tax Consulting services. He has 30 years experience in the information technology consulting services industry primarily within the Life Sciences industry. Prior to joining KPMG in 2010, Michael was the Executive Vice President of CGS Technology Associates, an IT Advisory firm that he co-founded in 1983.

Michael is married to Ellen for over 20 years, and is the father to Jeffrey and Justin. He has a passion for the game of golf and you can find him most weekends at the Fox Hollow Golf Club in Branchburg, NJ.
