Michael Briganti is the Director of International Risk Management for Bristol-Myers Squibb. Michael oversees BMS’s risk assessment, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, third party monitoring, and assists with financial and fraud investigations. Prior to BMS, he was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young’s Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services practice and an internal audit leader for a medical device manufacturer and consumer products wholesaler. His is passionate about giving multinational corporations perspective into risk management, corporate compliance, internal controls over financial reporting, fraud mitigation, business operations, and process improvement, all in support of organizations’ strategic objectives. Michael also has experience conducting investigations into financial
statement fraud, employee malfeasance, and anti-bribery and corruption regulatory
violations.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant, Attorney, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
He holds a BS and MS both in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and
a JD from the Seton Hall University School of Law. He is a member of the New
Jersey State Bar Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Michael is married to Jeanette Briganti, whom he met in graduate school, and
father to two beautiful children, his daughter, Gianna, and son, Lucas. Michael and
Jeanette Are keenly aware of the challenges that non-verbal autistic children face,
and their potential when given the tools, technique, love and support to succeed.
The family has watched Gianna quickly evolve from a state of frustration, to one of
personal satisfaction, sense of accomplishment and academic success, utilizing the
Ipad and its associated technology to help her communicate. Michael enjoys golf,
exercise and summers in Wildwood Crest with his family.
