Harris Kaplan is currently Managing Partner of Red Team Associates, a life sciences consulting firm specializing in helping small to mid cap companies develop new products that will be commercially successful. Harris has a 40 year career in the life sciences spanning pharmaceuticals, biotech, diagnostics, and devices, and has founded two previous consulting firms that were acquired. He is also the author of a number of articles and a frequent speaker on subjects related to new product development in the life sciences.
Harris has a wide range of personal interests. A patron of the arts, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and biking and, most recently and frightfully, has taken up skiing.
Harris serves on the board of the Kernan Hospital, a specialty rehab and orthopedics hospital in the University of Maryland network of hospitals. Harris has also served on the board of the Copper Ridge Institute. The Institute was founded by Johns Hopkins Medical School and the Episcopal Ministry of the Aged to take the latest theory in the treatment and management in Alzheimers disease and apply it in practice at Copper Ridge. The Institute has taken its best practices experience and worked with other facilities to help them achieve a higher level of care for these patients.
